How to make a room public in Heybase
In Heybase, you have the option to create Public Sales Rooms, where guests can access the room through a common/shared link. This allows you to set access for anyone with the link. Here's how you can make a room public or convert an existing room to public:
Open the room in editor mode and click on the "share" icon located in the upper right corner.
In the pop-up window that appears, you will find a "Make Public" toggle at the bottom. Enable this toggle to make the room public.
Copy the generated link and share it with the public.
Please note that for public rooms, analytics and collaboration features will not be available by default without email verification.
Ask for Email:
If you want to capture visitor details such as name, company, and email address, and restrict access to only verified users, you can enable email verification for your public room. This will also allow you to track analytics and collaboration, similar to non-public rooms. Here's how you can enable email verification:
Enable the "Ask for Email" toggle on the public room’s share pop-up.
Once enabled, visitors will be required to enter their details including name, email, and company in order to request room access.
Guests will receive an email with a Magic-link. They can access the room by simply clicking on the link provided in the email.
On the Heybase Dashboard, you will see a separate room created for Email Verified Visitors, which is a copy of the original public room with the added guest.
