Creating a New Custom Template
Heybase offers users the ability to create custom templates, you can also create a new template from existing room. If you want to create a new custom template in Heybase, you can find the necessary steps laid out in the sections below.
Steps To Creating a New Template
Follow the steps below to create a new custom template:
1. Go to Heybase Dashboard, and click on View all link above pinned templates section
2. Click on Create new template button on bottom left corner of Template Library pop-up
3. You'll be landed in to Template Editor where you can create new custom template.
In Template Editor - You can declare variables with {{variable_name}} syntax, and replace the variables while creating the new room from template, You can read more about variables here
Steps To Creating a Template from a Existing Room
Follow the steps below to Save existing room as a custom template:
Go to Existing room you wish to convert into template and open the Room Editor.
Click on Three dot menu on upper right corner of the editor (beside save button).
Select "Save as Template" option.
You'll be landed in to Template Editor with all the room data where you can edit it and save it as a custom template.
Edit existing Template
Follow the steps below to create a new custom template:
Click on Three dot icon beside any template from template library pop-up or on dashboard.
Click on Edit option
You'll be landed in to Template Editor where you can create new edit the custom template.
